There’s something special about veteran-led organisations and their connection between Defence and the broader community.
Bravery Trust CEO Belinda Wilson said Avalon attracted a cross section from both civil and military backgrounds, and there was a strong sense of camaraderie among visitors from several nations.
“Building meaningful relationships is core to the work we do, both in seeking out solution partners and increasing awareness of the services we provide and the gap we fill in the veteran eco-system,” Ms Wilson said.
Amongst the VIP visitors at Avalon were The Hon Richard Marles, Minister For Defence’; the Hon Peter Dutton, Lead of the Opposition; and the United States Ambassador to Australia, Caroline Kennedy.
