Bravery Trust and Leidos have partnered together to deliver an exciting virtual event to support the veteran community. The Bravery Trek is an annual fundraising activity where participants commit to walk the equivalent distance of an iconic military related route and fundraise to support the important work of Bravery Trust.
In 2020, the 96 kilometres of the Kokoda Trail is the challenge that has been selected. This iconic location was the site of a series of strategically important battles in World War II and is a campaign that exemplified the bravery and determination exhibited by Australian service men and women.
Participants can register free at www.braverytrek.com.au. The challenge kicks off on Saturday 24th October at the start of Veterans’ Health Week, runs through Remembrance Day and will conclude on 23 November 2020.
Bravery Trust’s CEO, Belinda Wilson said, “In this time of COVID-19, one thing is clearer than ever, social connection, both in person and virtually, is important. Bravery Trek is a way to exercise and connect, for military families and the broader community to interact with each other, and to remember the people who made this country what it is today.”
We invite service members, veterans, Defence families and the greater community to join our Bravery Trek. For more information about Bravery Trek visit: www.braverytrek.com.au
