Simone

Simone

Simone had served in the Navy for 8 years and was medically discharged a year before contacting Bravery Trust, after she sustained physical injury and mental health illness as a result of her service.

When Simone contact Bravery Trust she and her two young children were living in emergency accommodation.

She’d separated from her partner, a serving defence force member. Simone had been living with her parents but when disaster struck – and their house was flooded – she was forced into emergency accommodation which her parents were helping her pay for. But after some time, they were no longer able to continue this support.

Bravery Trust helped Simone by providing financial support with bills, car insurance and registration and storage fees totaling over $2,000. Simone was also supported by The Salvation Army Queensland, which was helping her look for temporary and long-term housing.
